Scuba diving for scallops in New Brunswick

At the tail end of summer 2019, after the Indian Ocean peregrinations, (here’s a sample, with manta rays towards the end), we went scuba diving for scallops in New Brunswick, and yes, it was as AWESOME as it sounds.

We had a great time, and had planned to go back in 2020, but you can guess what happened. Hopefully this year will be different. Scuba diving off Reunion Island

I can’t believe it has been two years since my last post.  I would explain that my life has been crazy (especially 2020…) and stuff, but so has yours. You, me, and eight billion other people. So meh for excuses.

It sits in the middle of water, 1500 km west of Australia. So you know, same oceanic ball park. A picture is worth a thousand words yes? Read more

Scuba Diving Around Mahé Island In The Seychelles, And Not Freaking Out About Worms In Your Food

I am quite behind on my posts, there’s already a whole island experience between us and Mahé, so this will be brief and more picture driven.

We found a place on booking.com,  that should have been pretty close to the dive shop and the beach, possibly with an okay view of at least greenery. Instead we got a major road with a bus stop and a crazy ATM trying to communicate in demonic morse code.  The light blue pin is where the site said our place would be, the red X where it actually (or close enough) was. Big difference, big disapointment, but when life gives you lemons you make cocktails with the local rum, and we did. Read more
